** PLEASE NOTE: We prefer to mail (or even hand-deliver!) our pre-printed copies of the petition to you.  It helps prevent printing problems and frustrations for you and for us. If you would like us to send petitions to you, please use the Contact Us page or call us at 734-812-0664 and we will get them out right away.  If you need the petitions in less than 24 hours, you can download them here.**

You must download the petition as a legal size document (8.5" x 14") and then print the petition on legal size paper (8.5" x 14")!

  • Caution: you must download the petition as a legal size document and then print the petition on legal-size paper (8.5" x 14") or the signatures you collect will not be valid. If you're not sure how to do this, please go to the Contact Us page and ask us to mail you a petition.
  • The petition is a PDF file. You must have Adobe Reader installed on your machine to open the petition. Adobe Reader is free. If you need to install Adobe Reader click here.
  • After you have set the petition as a legal size document, print the petition on legal size paper only (8.5" x 14").
    • If you print from your web browser make sure the page size is 8.5" x 14". See detailed example.

Instructions for Gathering Signatures

  • Before you start, please take a moment to read these detailed instructions on the rules for collecting signatures.
  • Fill in the County name at the top of the petition before you start.
  • A petition can only hold names from one county. For example, if you have friends in Wayne County and Oakland County, be sure you have them sign separate petitions.
  • Do not sign your name or date the bottom until after you are done.
